'Pirates of the Caribbean 4' Finds its Orlando Bloom Replacement

When Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides added French up-and-comer Astrid Berges-Frisbey, I teased that she might become the next Keira Knightley to rise from the waves. Well, now it appears they may have found the world's next Orlando Bloom. According to an official press release from Walt Disney, On Stranger Tides has added the young English actor Sam Claflin to the cast.

Disney is still keeping the plot of Tides under wraps, but they revealed that Claflin will be playing a young missionary named Philip. Since the film is rumored to deal with the Fountain of Youth, I'm guessing it will venture into Spanish held territories, and that he may be a Catholic missionary.

Paris Hilton Splits From Doug Reinhardt

Add Doug Reinhardt to the list of Paris Hilton’s growing list of exes. Reinhardt has officially become a member of the not-so-exclusive brotherhood—which includes the likes of Benji Madden, Nick Carter, and Paris Latsis, among many others—after Hilton’s reps confirmed that the hotel heiress has indeed broken up with the reality star and minor league baseball player a couple of weeks ago.

The source told People that Hilton and Reinhardt, who began dating in February last year, called it quits two weeks ago. Speculations that the couple separated came out weeks ago when the former love birds spent Easter away from each other. Hilton reportedly spent the Easter holiday with her family while Reinhardt went to Colorado.

The buzz became stronger this week when Hilton was seen partying at a Las Vegas club where Kim Kardashian’s ex Reggie Bush was also spotted. Some tabloids speculated that Hilton and Bush were hooking up. However, the “Simple Life” star quashed the rumor via Twitter by saying that “aside from being @ the same club, Reggie and I didn’t even say hi to each other. I was there with my sister and friends.”

Shirtless Kiefer Sutherland Thrown Out of Strip Club

A drunken and shirtless Kiefer Sutherland was kicked out of a London strip club on Thursday, U.K.’s The Daily Mail reported. According to the report, Sutherland, who was in London to promote his new movie “Twelve,” went berserk in the wee hours at the Stringfellows nudie bar, compelling the club’s bouncers to escort the “24″ star out of the establishment–in a headlock.

Reports said Sutherland, who was once made headlines for attacking a Christmas tree, started drinking around 10:30 in the evening at the bar of the Covent Garden Hotel before going to the strip club at around 2:00 am. A witness who saw Sutherland at Stringfellows said “he went bananas, shouting nonsense and dancing like Peter Crouch.”

It reportedly took the bouncers around ten minutes to get Sutherland in his car. Witnesses later saw a giggling Sutherland falling to his knees just outside his hotel. The actor’s reps have yet to issue any statement regarding the reports.

Zac Efron to Produce 'Snabba Cash' Remake

Another former child star involved with drugs and crime. But in Zac Efron's case, it's a character he'll be playing in a movie he's producing. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 17 Again star could be looking at his first franchise since Disney's blockbuster TV-to-theatrical series High School Musical with an English-language remake of the recent Swedish hit Snabba Cash (Easy Money). Warner Bros. has won a bidding war for the rights, and it's likely the project will move ahead quickly or else WB may lose the opportunity altogether due to a "short fuse" clause in the studio's deal with producers.

Lindsay Lohan cut from the cover of “Mean Girls” video game

Mean Girls, the movie that truly defined high school  social cliques, is missing its lead star’s photo on its movie-turned-game cover. Sources have suggested that the giant gaming company Nintendo may have snubbed Lindsay Lohan due to her questionable antics and bad public image.

Lohan’s other Mean Girls co-stars such as Rachel McAdams, Lacey Chabert, and Amanda Seyfried, notoriously known in the movie as the “Plastics”, were prominently displayed on the front cover.

For years since her shot to fame, Lohan had been caught frequently on camera having altercations with law enforcement agents ranging from DUIs, to law suits, and alleged drug use.

Rachel Weisz to play Jackie Kennedy in new Movie

EW.com is reporting that “The Constant Gardener” star Rachel Weisz has been tapped to play former First Lady Jackie Kennedy in a film that would be directed and produced by the Academy Award winner’s fiancé, Darren Aronofsky, who helmed 2008’s critically acclaimed “The Wrestler.”

“Jackie,” will focus on how the beautiful first lady coped with the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. The whole film will revolve around the four days between President Kennedy’s death and burial. It is expected to be a challenging role for Weisz, as the film is supposed to showcase the grace showed by Jackie Kennedy while mourning the loss of her beloved husband.

The script was reportedly written by Noah Oppenheim, who is an executive at the company that produces “The Office” and “The Biggest Loser.” If confirmed, the project will be the second collaboration between real-life partners Weisz and Aronofsky, who also directed his fiancée in the 2006 flop “The Fountain.”

Catherine Zeta-Jones  is 40 and she is smoldering hot in Allure’s May issue, where the Welsh actress is photographed in all her naked glory. Zeta-Jones, who is married to actor Michael Douglas, said in an interview with the magazine that her theater training helped her become confident about her body.

Zeta-Jones, whose body hides the fact that she has a 9-nine-year-old son and a 6-year-old daughter, said she felt comfortable while doing the naked photo shoot with photographer Michael Thompson. “That’s when your dancing days and being in theater pay off…When you’re doing a quick change, you don’t give a shit who sees you,” she says tongue-in-cheek.

The Oscar-winning actress for the film adaptation of “Chicago” is currently starring in Broadway’s “A Little Night of Music.” Joining Zeta-Jones in Allure’s naked edition are American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi, Emmanuelle Chriqui of “Entourage,” Jessica Capshaw of “Grey’s Anatomy,” and singer Colbie Caillat, among others.

Joss Whedon To Direct Marvel's 'The Avengers'

I'm told Marvel Studios is in final negotiations for Buffy the Vampire Slayer  series architect Joss Whedon to direct Marvel Studios' The Avengers. That's the fast-tracked film that would amount to an all-star team of Marvel superheros, including Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Captain America  (Chris Evans), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), as well as Shield leader Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson). Other signature superheros will likely be involved, but I've listed the actors in active superhero duty. Whedon has been  rumored for this job for awhile, and is high on the fanboy wish-list.

Steven Seagal Sued for Sexual Assault,Trafficking

A 23-year-old former model claims she interviewed with Seagal last February for the position of executive assistant.  Kayden Nguyen  says she got the job, but when she showed up for work, she learned, "Mr. Seagal had been keeping two young female Russian 'Attendants' on staff who were available for his sexual needs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week."

Nguyen alleges in her suit, one of the 'Attendants' had recently quit and it was this job -- not executive assistant -- Seagal intended her to fill.

Nguyen claims the very first night on the job, Seagal treated her "as his sex toy."  Nguyen says in the lawsuit Seagal, pushed his hands under her skirt, tried fondling her breasts and forced his hand down her pants.

Coco to host late night show on TBS

Fans of Conan O’Brien can once again have their funnyman on the late-night boob tube.

The comedian  recently inked a deal with the cable network TBS to air a weeknight show, starting November this year, from Monday to Thursday, at 11:30 P.M.

This can be considered a quick comeback, especially after the recent fiasco with NBC, as Coco was asked to make room for Jay Leno due to poor ratings.

The move to cable surprised many, as there have been speculations that Fox might be the one to give a better offer to O’Brien. The Fox Channel is apparently the only one, among the top four networks, who did not feature a late-night show.

USA Today quotes O”Brien to have said: “In three months I’ve gone from network television to Twitter to performing in live theaters, and now I’m heading back to basic cable.”

'Date Night' stomps over 'Clash of the Titans' in weekend Box Office

The race for the No. 1 slot this weekend was a close one, but Date Night is claiming victory with an estimated $27.1 million gross over Clash of the Titans' $26.8 million take (although that could all change by tomorrow morning when the true numbers are reported). Date Night, which marks a new box office opening weekend record for Tina Fey, scored a B with audiences, according to exit pollster Cinemascore. The PG-13 rated comedy about a married couple caught up in a case of mistaken identity is not a career high for Fey's co-star Steve Carell.

President Obama, Michelle will appear on 'Idol Gives Back'

The President and first lady Barack and Michelle Obama are stopping by "American Idol" -- in a video message they taped for "Idol Gives Back."

According to Fox News, the Obamas taped a video message for the "American Idol" charity event that airs in less than two weeks.

To date, the charity event (held in both 2007 and 2008) has raised over $140 million. This year the money will benefit Children's Health Fund, Feeding America, Malaria No More, Save the Children's U.S. programs and the United Nations Foundation.

In other "Idol Gives Back" news, Elliott Yamin and Kara DioGuardi recently traveled to Angola and met a woman who started a school for displaced children. Ryan Seacrest has also met with Bill and Melinda Gates about a donation and various celebrities have been dropping by the live "Idol" shows in the past few weeks to record their "Idol Gives Back" PSAs.

Kate Gosselin will not appear on Playboy says Hugh Hefner

If there is one place where Kate Gosselin is not welcome, it would be at Hugh Hefner’s Playboy mansion. Asked by E!Online if there is a possibility that reality star Gosselin would appear in upcoming Playboy editions, Hefner answered with a curt “No! No!”

Hefner also wondered why people are showering Gosselin with all the attention she is getting, including being chosen as a celebrity contestant on Dancing with the Stars. “I don’t think she’s a celebrity,” Hefner said.

However, Gosselin might not mind being seen as no Playboy material as she is set to begin a new show for Discovery’s TLC. Gosselin, whose former husband Jon recently filed for primary custody of their eight children, will star in the upcoming TLC show called “Twist of Kate” where the reality supermom will travel across the United States to give tips about life.

Jesse James: Sex Tape Claims 'Completely False'

Jesse James has joined wife Sandra Bullock  in denying claims of a rumored salacious sex tape.

"The claims of sex tapes are untrue and completely fabricated," a rep for Jesse said in a statement to Access Hollywood, also referring to another report that he had filmed sex tapes with other women.

Earlier this week, Sandra issued a separate statement denying journalist Ian Halperin's allegations that such a tape - said to feature obscene sexual acts - was ever made.

"There is no sex tape," Sandra said in a statement to People. "There never has been One".

Oprah to Return to Prime-Time

Queen of daytime, Oprah Winfrey has nowhere to go but night, and will be doing so next year with Oprah's Next Chapter, a prime-time hourlong talk show of sorts that will air on Winfrey's own, um, OWN.

The show will air just two or three times a week and debut in late 2011. She will wrap up 25 seasons of The Oprah Winfrey Show in September of next year.

Oprah's Next Chapter will take on something of a familiar format, featuring Winfrey talking to the movers and shakers she deems most interesting and newsworthy, but—and here's the twist—instead of confabbing in front of a studio audience, the conversations won't be boxed in, with Oprah traveling the world to places like Egypt and China for the sit-downs.
