During an interview with The A.V. Club, the actress said, “It was awful this season, as far as I’m concerned…” She went on to say that she was not allowed to say that, she thinks it was very telenovela and that things are being pushed in too much.
The apology came during an interview in Entertainment Weekly. “I feel pretty terrible,” she told Michael Ausiello. “I feel like what I said was taken out of context.” She said that she was exhausted during the interview and does not know what she was saying. She said that the show’s creators Will Scheffer and Mark V. Olsen has already accepted her apology.
According to Ausiello, there were many people who were indeed disappointed with season 4. He then asked Sevigny if maybe there was some grain of truth on her remarks in which she replied that maybe it did come out too harsh.
