At the 2010 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, Samsung unveiled a 14-inch notebook that has a transparent OLED screen that can let up to 40 percent light through it from the background.
The Korean company is promoting it as the first and largest transparent OLED laptop. It is just a prototype and not much we can tell about its other specs, but you can see the thing in action in the video below.
We’re not quite sure how useful this technology really is, except for spying on people as you type. And if ever mass produced, we hope it won’t give us problems when used under bright sunlight.
