“Jenny and I have just ended our 5yr relationship… I’m grateful 4 the many blessings we’ve shared and I wish her the very best! S’okay! ?;^>” so went the message from Jim Carrey, who is now a grandfather at 48 years old.
About 30 minutes later, Jenny McCarthy also made a twitter message saying that she is grateful for the years they have spent together, that she will always have Carrey as her leading man and that she will always be there for Jane, Carrey’s daughter from his first marriage. Carrey and McCarthy have been together since 2005.
The couple always state in interviews that they don’t have plans to walk down the aisle. In an episode of The View, McCarthy said that she believes they are married even without a piece of paper.
There was no reason given for the split.
