Sebastian Vettel leads Webber to Red Bull one-two

Sebastian Vettel led home team-mate Mark Webber as Red Bull Racing dominated a rain-free Malaysian Grand Prix.

Vettel surged into the lead after the first lap while McLaren duo Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton also made their move from the back of the grid. Vettel had started third on the grid but immediately passed the Mercedes of Nico Rosberg before then getting the better of team-mate Mark Webber.

This time, there would be no sign of the technical gremlins that hampered the duo in the opening two rounds as Red Bull completed its first 1-2 of the season ahead of Nico Rosberg's Mercedes and Robert Kubica's Renault.

Button and Hamilton started 17th and 20th on the grid after their qualifying woes but made significant progress in the race, passing the slower cars ahead. The McLaren pair were then involved in a scrap with the Ferraris of Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa, who also made a mess of qualifying.

And it was Hamilton who edged the battle, finishing sixth ahead of Massa and Button as the unfortunate Alonso retired on the penultimate lap.
